In August of last year I asked for a divorce and I really did not see me ever reconciling with my husband or even wanting to for that matter. While I was out of state on a trip that I never should have been on in the first place (that is for another prayer request) he filed, I was not upset or surprised. Though I asked the divorce was mutual and I went out to live my life separate from Brett. In our marriage I really did not pull my weight, financially or otherwise. I was unemployed since January of 2003. I did not do much to save money, just spend it! Things got so bad and we just could not communicate at all. Our divorce was final at the end of October of last year and I have had so much time to think about what I really want in life. I realized the mistakes that I made and how not to make them again and I have realize what is really important. I pray that our marriage can one day be restored. That Brett will let me into his life and his heart once again. I do have a good feeling about all of this, even though I am afraid that I am just feeling this way because that is what I want. My little boy, Sean, who is four years old, is so sad and confused. His Dad has left us and is with another woman. I ask for prayers for my upcoming surgery on January 5th (a left first rib resection...meaning they are removing the first rib on the left) for a safe surgery and healing afterwards. Please continue pray in agreement with me about my prejudice supervisor, Debbie who kept making racist remarks. We were becoming pretty good friends at a time but as I got to know her I did not think it was wise for me to maintain a social relationship with her. I began to realize that she has a spirit of hate that is very strong, which has manifested into jealousy, gossiping, derogatory comments and other things that I want no part of. In short, our relationship has soured because I have distanced myself from her (although I've continued to be nice towards her), and she is starting to hold things against me. I ask you to pray for the Holy Spirit to convict her heart of her racist attitudes and beliefs and for mean spirited behavior towards me. Please pray that God will protect me against her need to be spiteful and that her plans to cause me pain and discomfort will backfire. She is now using her position of supervisor to harass me. She professes to be a Christian and most people have no idea she can behave in a such a way. She is very careful in how she operates and people are unaware of this side of her ( her prejudice and being vindictive). Her behavior tells me she has no fear of God or experience conviction from behaving this way. Please pray that God will either change her heart or remove her from her position if she is going to misuse her authority and for God to give me wisdom and guidance in dealing with her. I do not wish ill will on her, I just want the harassment to stop. Things have been very difficult and distressing for me. Because I can't take it no more (I've been praying for this well over a year and she has not changed), I have decided to look for another job. My last submission was Aug. 2003, here is an update: Please continue to pray for my Christian brother-in-law, Mike, who has stage 4 cancer. His cancer is considered untreatable, but we are praying for a miracle of healing. Mike is in chemotherapy, and has had 2 CT scans. The first scan showed the tumor has shrunk 30-50%! The second scan showed the tumor has shrunk another 50% from the reduced size!! We are praising God for His mercy. Please continue to ask for complete healing and a long life for Mike. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to read this and to pray for me. I have some urgent requests that are burdening my tender heart for God and I could really use some people to pray with me. These are the prayer requests that I have: 1. My grandmother Dorothy is VERY ill. Salvation and healing. She is my best friend besides Joshua my husband. We are very close. We almost lost Grandma quite a few times this year. She did pray to get saved. Please help her to develop a prayer life and that if she didn't really get saved that she will. 2. My grandfather Jack is taking care of my grandmother Dorothy. He is not saved. He is not too healthy either. Pray for strength and healing. And especially salvation. He is the best grandfather anyone could ask for. Please pray for him. I love him so. 3. Please pray for my grandma Della to meet a nice man and that he will be saved and that they will fall in love and that she will be happy the rest of her life. She is such a soft hearted woman who is lonely. Please pray that this happens. She has been abused her whole life. She is a Godly woman. And a woman of tremendous strength. Please pray for her. She also had knee surgery. Pray for her. I know she cries a lot. 4. Please pray for my grandfather Bud. He is an abusive man. He will not talk to the family and has not in over 10 years. I still love him because he is my grandfather and I really miss him. I am 26 and I haven't seen him or hugged him since I was 18. I last spoke to him at age 19 on the phone. He is dying we found out. God can do anything. Please pray for healing and for him to be open to God's word and for someone to come along to lead him to Christ. And for the pride between him and everyone else to drop. We all want him back in the family. He chose to leave. I love him. I don't want him to die without getting saved. That is most important. 5. My great uncle Bob has prostate cancer and is not saved. He raised his hand in Church last Sunday when the pastor asked that all who are saved to raise their hands. So, that is good. My sister peeked! I didn't. We are all worried about him. He has these weird backward views of the world and has been sucked into this weird philosophy. I want to make sure my brother is truly saved. He doesn't talk to the family much and we love him and want him to come back to God. He is 24. Please pray for him. 7. Please pray for my sister Liz who wasn't supposed to be able to carry children and is now in her 8th month of labor with the first little one to be born into our immediate family. No one knew he had it. He just fell over one night and was rushed to the hospital and died. There is a lot of hardship going on in this once Christian family. My cousin Jenny (age 26) and her husband Mark seem to be living for the Lord. Jenny was upset and blamed God for taking her dad. But they are OK now. Serving Jesus. Working with Youth. Pray for their marriage as her husband Mark just left for the military (Navy). Please pray for my cousin Marty. He argued with his dad just before his dad died and has been far away from God since. I think he is saved. Please pray for my family. And for my Aunt Diane. She has started to date an unsaved man. Please pray for all of them to get right with God. It breaks my heart. 13. Please pray for the Sella and Werts sides of the family. Salvation is GREATLY needed. And coming back to God and to family is GREATLY needed. My husbands whole side of the family is not saved either. Including his parents, grandmothers, and relatives...Volden and Johnson sides of the family. Pray for salvation please. ****Especially pray for my one cousin Julie who is searching and searching for God. And her husband Eric is unsaved. I have seen God work in this family recently. Julie went from reading psychic books to books about praying and God. And I am going to mail her for Christmas a Bible. Please pray for them. The Sacketts. Oh and the mother of Eric (Julie's husband) is not saved and has less than 7 months to live. She has terminal lung cancer. Please pray for the Sackett and Schams family for salvation. Especially for Jan Sackett who is dying. May God send people along to witness. And for softening of hearts! 14. Pray for the little boy my friend Liz told me about who has been abused sexually and physically and because the family knew a sheriff the little boy Raymond and his siblings have been put back in the home with the mother and x-con boyfriend. My friend Liz works at his daycare. He is really small and the only thing that has been done is weekly bruise checks. Please pray for this family. 15. And lastly, Please pray for me. I want to be a prayer warrior for God. I need God's guidance in what school I should go too. My medical problems. My mental health issues. I need a job - URGENTLY!  .  My marriage to stay healthy and good. And for me to keep going to this church that I found that I love. Please just have God help me in every way.
