Reading – Exodus 28 – 29
God expects me to give only my best. He doesn’t expect perfect, but He doest expect my best.
Through the years I have heard so many people sigh and say, “I would really love to do that, but I can’t do it like he/she does. He/She’s so good at it.” I am one who believes that the genuine desire to serve God in a particular way is a calling from God to serve Him in that arena. God will take that talent, ability and desire you have and perfect it to His purposes.
I have a friend who felt the strong desire and dream to sing for the Lord. She didn’t personally feel she was “good enough” but she listened to God’s call in her heart and started practicing and singing wherever they would have her. God took her offering, the very best she could give, and has used it to bless hundreds of lives in the area where I live and beyond. If she had followed her first thought – “I’m not good enough” – how many people, including herself, would have missed that blessing.
God himself takes our gifts, our talents and our dreams and consecrates them for His use. He makes them good enough, He makes them perfect for His use.
Thank you Heavenly Father for giving me dreams to follow, and for taking those dreams and using them for your purposes and to your glory. In Jesus Name, Amen.
